User Guide: Managing the SnapStyle App
Now that SnapStyle is installed, this guide explains how to manage your app settings, view your performance data, and understand the storefront experience your customers will have.
  1. The Merchant Dashboard
    Access your dashboard at any time by going to Apps > My Apps > SnapStyle Virtual Try-On in your BigCommerce admin panel.

    Analytics & Performance
    The SnapStyle dashboard provides real-time insights into how the virtual try-on feature is driving your sales. You can track:
    Total Try-Ons: How many times the feature was initiated.
    Engagement Rate: What percentage of product page visitors are interacting with the Try-On button.
    Conversion Impact: (Coming soon) Track the direct correlation between customers who use the try-on widget and completed checkouts.


    App Settings
    Enable/Disable Global Try-On: Need to temporarily turn off the feature? You can toggle the "Try-On Enabled" switch in your settings. This instantly hides the button from your storefront without needing to uninstall the app or remove any code.

  2. The Storefront Experience
    Here is exactly what your shoppers experience when they use the tool:

    Activate: The shopper clicks the "Try On" button located on your product page.

    Upload: A sleek, mobile-responsive widget opens. The shopper is prompted to upload a clear, front-facing photo of themselves.

    AI Generation: Our incredibly advanced generative AI (powered by Google Gemini) goes to work. It analyzes your product's specific intricacies (like eyewear frame architecture or contact lens iris patterns) and the shopper's facial features.

    The Reveal: Within seconds, the shopper receives a photorealistic rendering of themselves perfectly wearing your product, keeping their original lighting and background intact.

  3. Best Practices for Merchants
    To ensure the AI generates the absolute best results for your shoppers, make sure your BigCommerce product catalog is optimized:

    High-Quality Primary Images: The AI uses your main product image as the reference. Ensure your product images are clear, well-lit, and show the product straight-on (not at an extreme angle).

    Clear Backgrounds: Product images with solid white or transparent backgrounds yield the most accurate try-on overlays.
    Troubleshooting

    The button isn't showing up: Ensure your theme hasn't heavily modified standard BigCommerce Add-to-Cart selectors (like .add-to-cart-button or [data-button-type="add-cart"]). If it has, refer to Step 4 of the Installation Guide to add the manual



    Uninstalling: If you ever need to uninstall the app, simply remove it via Apps > My Apps. SnapStyle automatically cleans up and deletes all scripts from your theme so no residual code connects to your storefront.
